The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
Pretty good rum as well. The wine cask finish is there without being dominant. Fruity and light wood and vanilla. The palate is nice and warm with surprising nougat and marzipan.
St. Lucia World Cup Tasting Unfortunately, I remember it better. The dry herbal notes are there, unfortunately completely drowned out by the wine barrel, slight sulfur note. On the palate, the wine barrel unfortunately overpowers the softer St. Lucia notes Long, spicy finish, but can hardly keep up with the modern bottlings.
Nice nose, but rather light. Misses some ABV.
12/03/25: tasted @ open bottle sale TasTToe. Kind of similar as the Duncan Taylor St. Lucia 2002. Also quite thin, light. The wine cask finish could make it interesting but I expected more. The ABV is a bit too low.
