04.06.2019 Having a sample at home. Colour Dark in colour. Nose Light wood, light sugarcane, fruits, faint rubber, nutts, faint smoke, caramel. Palate Oily, light wood, caramel, fruits, spice, light herbal, alcoholic, light salt, dried fruit. Finish Medium long, wood, alcoholic, warm, sweet, spice, light nutts, prunes. Not my piece of cake 😊

Copied from the whisky exchange The second release from Danish rum distillery Enghaven, Black Strap is a combination of pot and column still rums that has been matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. Sweet sherried aromas of ripe berries, bergamot, honey, black tea and lemon fil the nose. The palate offers notes of soft smoke, floral honey, warm spices and ripe plums.
