To Uitvlugt (Port Mourant)
"08.01.2022 Nice little tasting at my home with a few colleagues. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Wood, light roasted, fruits, plum, faint chocolate, light caramel. Palate Fresh, balanced, wood, fruits, light orange, prunes, light caramel. Finish Medium to long, wood, light roasted, fruits, light orange, faint chocolate, faint tobacco."
"Today three Uitvlugt from 1997 24yr (RX11475), 1998 22yr (RX8122) and 1999 14yr (RX6548) parallel in the glass. In contrast to its competitors, the Duchess has a nice dark color, while the others are very pale. In terms of taste, the Tamosi is just ahead of the Duchess. Unfortunately, the Kill Devil cannot quite keep up with its competitors."
"Fresh with lots of citrus fruit. Beautiful, continental Port Mourant."
"For 16y it's quite flat on the nose, a little citrus, cookie dough, tea and the familiar Guyana gauze 😀 I find it quite good as a daily sipper, but it depends on the situation, today it wasn't quite my cup of tea. It starts with a nice sweetness that quickly turns spicy/peppery and woody."
