Dégustation des Caronis Velier 1985. Un nez sombre, doux, amer et frais tout à la fois. Du caramel brûlé et du végétal (de la menthe en particulier) viennent compléter ce nez. L’attaque est soyeuse en bouche tout en apportant une explosion d’arômes. Tout est dit : profondeur, complexité, fraîcheur et bois parfaitement intégré. Des fruits cuits en fin de bouche avec de la pomme au four et de la banane. Une finale sur le caramel et le végétal, les fruits sont perceptibles jusqu’à l’extrême fin. L’atelier mécanique domine le verre vide. Un rhum splendide malgré son ABV un peu faible.
11.05.2008 Sanya in China is what Mallorca and Ibiza is to the Europeans. A beautiful place with long sandy beaches and mostly 5 star hotels. Notes. Very light in colour with a strong nutty precense. Oily palate with caramel and chocolate as well as light roasted wood. Oily palate with a long and warm finish. Caroni notes missing and only very light fruit in the profile.
Caroni 85 Crosstasting, really a shame, this has a killer nose, freshly unpacked Tire Tubing, vegetables, cooking banana, menthol mouthfeel. All this for a rather straightforward colouring caramel and Diesel flavour that ends in a mechanics workshop. hard border to the 90s....
Epic Velier Caroni Tasting: ein Haselnuss-Monster! In der Nase und am Gaumen viel Haselnuss, ganz untypisch für einen Caroni, geht eher in Richtung Agricole. Trotzdem tolle Qualität!
