The "Martinique" was produced in Martinique at the Distillerie du Simon distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler The Duchess. 25.09.2020 Tasting at a local wine shop that is no more, unfortunately. Notes Light to medium dark in colour. Nose Faint wood, varnish, polish, anise, light herbal, plum, faint chocolate. Palate Intense, light wood, varnish, light herbs, anise, light chocolate, light citrus, spice, light grass. Finish Long and warm, polish, anise, light herbs, dried fruit, light ginger. Extra note Needs to rest for a good while or the ABV will bite.
Un rhum martiniquais assez étonnant. Très clairement sur les agrumes au nez mais avec un nez étonnamment piquant. De la canne également. Légèrement boisé. Idem en bouche mais un alcool pas suffisamment intégré.
