South Pacific Kill Devil 2002
The "Kill Devil" rum offers unique rubber, medicinal, and fruity notes with a thinner mouthfeel. A limited edition from Fiji, it's intriguing yet atypical.

By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 25,000 bottlings, 270,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 50,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.

Interestingly medicinal flavor profile with some wood, cocoa on the nose, milk chocolate in the mouth paired with mocha. Dried fruit in the background. Untypical Fiji that is still fun to drink.
Tasted at the Rumhouse in Prague. Very nice selection, expensive prices. But excellent ambience. On the nose the way I want Fiji to be. Solvent, rubber, ester and mowed lawn. Later comes neat wood to it. Flavor likewise how you want fiji, some ester and nice fruity notes with wood and dark spices, and some pepper. Only a few percent more for a better consistency would be desirable.
