Like many other rums from this distiller this one is also great as a mixer. 5 cl Rum 5 cl Mandarin juice 5 cl Guava juice 5 cl Orange juice 2 cl Strawberry syrup Ice Blend until you have a smooth mix. Very refreshing in summer.
The nose is a little dreadful, mostly pure alcohol with just a whiff of refined sugar behind it. But on the palate we find something unexpectedly pleasant. It's definitely hot with a mild alcohol burn up front, but then sugar and lychee. These follow through to the medium finish. It certainly won't blow your mind, but on the other hand this bottle was $13 in 2025 New York City dollars, and it compares quite favorably to other "well" rums.
