Neisson 2005

beautiful Neisson. Its a beautiful agricole rum, delicious, balanced. fruits cooked and fresh. the oak is present but in a very elegant way! love this Neisson much more than the velier 2005.

From nose, to palate, to finish, Neisson in top form. I will miss this bottle greatly when it is empty. Aged agricole as an art form.

So, nach dem Split mal dieses lange erwartete Sample eingeschenkt… Direkt nach dem Einschenken mal reichlich Lack und Lösungsmittel. Nach 10min hat sich das gelegt. Nunmehr eine extrem komplexe Nase, bei jedem Schwenker was anderes und insgesamt schwer zu fassen - aber saugut.😀 Frische, Gewürze, Orange, die für Neisson typischen Mandelkekse, Lakritze, Banane, Holz, Oliven, Pflanzen etc. Fragil und fein. Etwas mehr Power würde nicht schaden.💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 Im Mund zuerst Zitrusfrüchte und dann viel Würze vom Holz. Abgang der Hammer. Warm und knusprig, ordentliche Speichelbildung, würzig, holzig und doch fein. Die hohen Erwartungen wurden erfüllt! Toller Neisson, gefällt mir eindeutig besser als sein Jahrgangsbruder von Velier. 2004 bleibt aber trotzdem eindeutig mein Lieblingsjahrgang.😀

Enjoying this lovely and complex rum before the first tasting of 2023. I love Neisson because their baseline on the older rums is pretty high. Very fruity and fresh with a hint of mint and licorice. Complex and very well balanced 😊 The finish is very long and smooth. Very nice curtains in the glass.

Ein großer Rhum. Elegant, leichtfüßig. Nicht zu holzig, nicht zu grasig. Große Vanille Noten hintenraus. Ein toller Rum auf dem obersten Niveau.

Wow, I wouldn't have thought that a rum with such a "low" percentage could be so good. It certainly comes across as very fresh and fruity on the nose. On the palate, the barrel/wood predominates again, as well as a hint of liquorice and nuts. Thanks to Vienna for the sample.

Whaou quel nez ! Beaucoup de fruits, des agrumes confites (orange, kumquat, mandarine) de l'orange sanguine, de la pomme cannelle, des épices de cuisine, ça sent le gâteau de Noël à plein nez. Un boisé ciré, du miel cristallisé. Un voile de vernis. En bouche, du sucre blanc chauffé qui tend vers le caramel, une acidité sur de la carambole et de la pomme verte acidulée, une relative fraîcheur mentholée, corbeille d'oléagineux grillés. Un joli boisé patiné, tout en finesse. Finale sur l'amertume du chocolat noir corsé, un peu de piment doux, bâton de cannelle. Le bois tapisse davantage le palais en fin de bouche.

Wow... Really good Agricole. One of the best I've had in my glass so far... incredibly complex, fruity, woody, sweet .... Really delicious !!! Unbelievable how well Agricole gets by with less ABV.

Excellent Agricole! Light tropical sweetness paired with glue, nut and wood.

Is there an old Neisson who isn't up to scratch?

Schmeckt mir ganz gut … und das macht mich glücklich. Meine Trefferquote bei Agricoles liegt ungleich niedriger als bei Melasse Rums. Dieser hier holt mich mehr oder weniger gut ab. Nicht zu Agricolig, schöne Bienenwabe, kandiertes, etwas Kleber. Für den UVP würd ich mir zwar lieber was anderes holen, aber der darf dennoch jederzeit gerne wieder in mein Glas.

Very tasty Agricole, which is powerful enough with almost 50% ABV. The nose has just the right amount of everything, fruity, grassy, spicy, woody. The palate is also a completely balanced composition. It is unspectacular at first, but then all the better.

Pleasant nose, quite rounded with hints of vanilla and fresh lime. Interesting attack, hints of yellow fruits. Pleasant finish.
