Elixir Distillers of London Port Mourant Black Tot Rum Demerara Aged 40 Years 1975
Highly praised as “liquid history”: ultra‑old Port Mourant with stunning color, deep dried fruits, musty oak and tobacco. A serious, wood‑driven sipper for Demerara fans who enjoy dry, bitter profiles.
Seasoned Demerara and navy-style fans who enjoy very old, dry, tannic rums with musty wood, tobacco, leather and dark chocolate more than sweetness or fruity brightness.

Opravdu mi to chutná.
Very special bottle indeed. The high age is very much noticeable and defining for this PM. While I think this is very enjoyable, I can understand any notion claiming this to be over aged.
Ingenious Navy Rum you notice the long maturation. In the tasting comparison, most found the Last Consignment better, I personally liked the 40Y due to the even stronger maturation that you notice clearly in comparison better. Less fruity, but woodier, mustier than the Last Consignment. Arr!
Guyana Concentrate. Liquid history. 🤯Slightly too bitter for a top rating.
