Oliver & Oliver Ron Quorhum 30 Aniversario
Smooth vanilla and dried fruit dominate here, with caramel and honey leading to a mellow, sweet sip. Not wildly complex, but if you’re after easy, dessert-like rum, this one is a solid fit.
Smooth, mellow, sweet rum with prominent vanilla character.

How does this rum taste?
- wonderfully round, a delightful caress of the palate
- A good beginner rum in my mind
- Soft sweet and full of flavour
Ron Quorhum 30 Aniversario leans strongly into sweet, rounded notes: vanilla, honey, caramel, and dried fruit come up in nearly every tasting. There’s an inviting creaminess, sometimes called “soft sweet and full of flavour” (Bert Tronquo), and a touch of roasted nuts or leather on the nose. A few find plums and mirabelle, while others notice gentle tobacco, cocoa, or even lime. It’s light, mild, and approachable, though some remark that the sweetness “takes away the character” (Oliver). The finish is gently spicy and woody, though not especially persistent, and the overall mood is easygoing—a classic ‘relaxing sipper’ in the O&O world.

To Oliver & Oliver
"It’s one of the better ones from O& O, maybe because that Agricole has a part in the blend. The finish is quite long and dry. The nose is fruity, sweet and round with aroma of citrus. At the palate and during the rather long finish it’s fruity and round with a good balance between the sweetness and dryness together with flavors of vanilla, honey and citrus."
"When I first opened this rum, it reminded me of one a Cuba Libre: the lime was very distinct. Meanwhile, I got mostly caramel/honey, raisin, vanilla and sometimes roasty coffee/chocolate/tobacco. Certainly a bit sugary and not overly complex, but otherwise tasty, smooth and round. One of the best of O"
"Very sweet and pleasing. Unfortunately, there is not much character left due to the strong sugaring. Nevertheless, a nice rum for rum beginners."
"Lovely and pleasant, well balanced. A good rum although being a solera it loses its appeal. Better than the Zacapa XO. Among the solera I have tasted it is the favorite. The persistence is long with a hint that reminds me of cigar and barrel.Unfortunately the rating is not very high because the addition of sugar I do not find exciting."
