“When I first opened this rum, it reminded me of one a Cuba Libre: the lime was very distinct. Meanwhile, I got mostly caramel/honey, raisin, vanilla and sometimes roasty coffee/chocolate/tobacco. “Lovely and pleasant, well balanced. A good rum although being a solera it loses its appeal. Better than the Zacapa XO. Among the solera I have tasted it is the favorite.The persistence is long with a hint that reminds me of cigar and barrel.Unfortunately the rating is not very high because the addition of sugar I do not find exciting.”
