How does this rum taste?
The "Créol" rum from Savanna distillery, produced on Reunion Island, is a limited release of just 851 bottles. Distilled in 2005 from sugar cane juice with a Column Still and aged for 12 years, this 50.5% ABV rum offers a unique profile. Users highlight its complex aroma with notes of cognac, overripe fruit, and spice. The taste presents floral, grape, and dried fruit nuances with sweet brown sugar undertones. Appreciated for its intriguing Agricole notes and creamy mouthfeel, it appeals to those seeking a full-bodied yet delicate rum. Though praised for its balance and subtlety, it is described as lacking depth by some.

This was my very first Savanna rum and it was a revelation at the time. I have since tasted several Savannas, but this is still one of my favorite bottlings from the distillery. From today's perspective, it was also a bargain.
Interessanter Savanna Creole.
Very good (the good old bottles) from Savanna Agricole. This was my third Savanna at the time (2018) and I love it !
