To Vigia
"Unmistakable an Cuban rum that doesn’t reach the me of the Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros. The nose is smoky with an aroma of oak. At the palate and during the medium long finish it’s elegant, full bodied and smoky with flavors of oak, fruit and caramel."
"Der Alkohol sticht am Anfang ganz schön in die Nase. Durch das Rauchige empfinde ich es jedoch nicht zu unangenehm. Die klassischen Vanille/Karamell-Aromen gesellen sich im Gaumen dazu. Scheint, als wäre der Rum in Ex-Bourbon Fässern gelagert worden"
"Initially bites a little on the nose, but also comes with nice fruity-sweet notes. The taste is also surprisingly fruity and versatile for a Cuban. Somewhat smoky and sweetish, is recommendable!"
"Quite generic light rum. Nose: Acetone and white grapefruit, some alcohol scent present Palate: Watery vanilla on the attack followed immediately by strong alcohol burn, but balanced in that burn. The vanilla remains present but there is an overwhelm of quite generic light rum taste that dissipates quickly and is easily forgettable. Finish: Barely there, quick to disappear. Even though I tasted this from a small 5 cl sampler I did not feel particularly inclined to finish the whole thing. It is just tremendously generic in the mouth. I do like vanilla notes but they don’t quite manage to impress. A pretty run-of-the-mill light column still rum, don’t let the age statement fool you."
