"Unmistakable an Cuban rum slightly better than the Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros."

"Initially bites a little on the nose, but also comes with nice fruity-sweet notes. The taste is also surprisingly fruity and versatile for a Cuban. Somewhat smoky and sweetish, is recommendable!"

"Quite generic light rum. Nose: Acetone and white grapefruit, some alcohol scent present Palate: Watery vanilla on the attack followed immediately by strong alcohol burn, but balanced in that burn. The vanilla remains present but there is an overwhelm of quite generic light rum taste that dissipates quickly and is easily forgettable. Finish: Barely there, quick to disappear. Even though I tasted this from a small 5 cl sampler I did not feel particularly inclined to finish the whole thing. It is just tremendously generic in the mouth. I do like vanilla notes but they don’t quite manage to impress. A pretty run-of-the-mill light column still rum, don’t let the age statement fool you."

"I like it, but find it a bit less complex and interesting than the younger Eminente Reserva 7. I would have thought it a less sweet Dominican."
