ReimonenQ Cuvée Spéciale JR 2012
Most enjoy its easy-drinking, toffee-woody profile and fair price; critics find it thin and short. Consensus: a soft, accessible gateway into ReimonenQ and agricole-style rums.
Rum drinkers building their palate who want a gentle, slightly sweet introduction to Guadeloupe/agricole character without high ABV or aggressive grassy notes.

Soft, easy gateway agricole

Was invited to a tasting by a friend today and he surprised me with a full Reimonenq selection.
Overall an interesting rum that could be a first start to experience rum from Guadeloupe because of its roundness which makes it very easy drinked. This is an Agricole from the house of ReimonenQ in Guadeloupe named after one of the founders, Joseph Reimonenq. It’s a rum distilled in their column still in 2012, aged for four years in former bourbon casks and thereafter bottled at ABV 40%.

This ReimonenQ is also a decent rum. Wood is the first thing you notice on the nose, followed over time by caramel and a certain spiciness. The palate is similar, with pepper recognizable as a spice.
