An old-fashioned rum from Martinique that offers more than the bottle suggests. This lady of the '70s offers a lovely fruity bouquet on the nose (red fruits, cherry, green apple, plum, orange, grapes) followed by notes of caramel and yeast, vanilla woodiness, nuts and brandy. On the palate, the rum is full-bodied and full-bodied despite its 40%, with spicy notes, roasted nuts and tobacco. The fruit, on the other hand, is more subdued. The moderately long finish continues with a vegetal, earthy and grassy framework that completes this old-fashioned profile. An original, fairly aromatic rum that lets you discover what was done in the old days.
Leider etwas dünn, aber geschmacklich nicht unspannend. Apfel, Zitrus, Kloreiniger.
Pleasant rum from the 70s. Very different from the great aromas we know today. Most likely molasses (for the most part) and most likely various aromatic additions. A good vintage discovery from Martinique.
