Etwas bitterer und erwachsener als der etwas ältere #26er. Typischer für guadeloupe. Nicht so mein Fall.

Solider Karukera, was bereits hohes Niveau bedeutet. Wiederum gelungene Melange aus Holz, Würze und milder Süsse gepaart mit dezenten Fruchtnoten - hier mit etwas stärkeren Akzenten auf der Würzigkeit, was sicher auch dem etwas höheren Alkoholgehalt zuzuschreiben ist. Nicht mein Karukera-Favorit, aber unbestritten ein vorzüglicher Rum.

Farbe: Altgold Geruch: Zurückhaltend süß mit schwachen pflanzlichen Aromen. Dabei insgesamt weniger frisch und süß als Cask No. 26. Riecht fruchtig nach Ananas, Birne und gekochter Banane. Zudem Eichenholz und Honig. Geschmack: Zu Beginn sehr kräftig und wenig süß. Beim Schlucken würzig-scharf, dabei intensiv mit viel Honig sowie kandierten Früchten, Karamell und Tabak. Abgang: Honig, schön würzig, kräftig und lang. Trocken-holzig im Nachgeschmack. Fazit: Klasse Rum, in etwa auf dem gleichen Niveau wie das Schwesterfass No. 26. 89 Punkte
