I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
Lots of wood and tannins. Alcohol very well integrated. Great Enmore!
A blatantly woody enmore. Almost too much wood for my taste. Lots of wood and some juniper and fruit bread on the nose. The taste is then bitter, tannic and very woody and leathery. After a while in the mouth, strong black coffee, as well as red wine, some cinnamon and grapefruit peel are added. the juniper is in the background with a slight freshness and then the fruit bread and the bitter tones come back and everything becomes quite astringent and roasty dark. The 50% are perfectly integrated and very harmonious.
27.04.2019 A relaxing evening with good samples and bottles and a few friends. Notes. Medium to dark colour. Nose: wood, raisin, roasted, earthy, light herbs, light caramel. Palate: wood, roasted, dried fruit, coffee, caramel, light leather, anise. Finish: medium to long, wood, licorice, dried fruit, light caramel and coffee.
