6,8:On the nose, this is a relatively light rum, caressed by round and greedy spices, with a whiff of smoke. It opens with ripe and honeyed fruit juices, a little fresh almond, then a soft white woody note. A good whiff of freshness arrives with aeration, like a candy, resinous and minty. It is a natural marriage between the liquorice of the molasses, which gives rise to a pinch of cardamom. 7:The palate is aromatic and fruity, with pineapple and ripe citrus. The Christmas spices are round but fresh, as is the vanilla, as in a sweet candy. The freshness returns with the oak, swirling around the bark in a minty, resinous blast. 6,5:The finish is light, delicately caramelised and with vanilla, some tangy fruit...
