“Typical Fourquare profile at a high level.Strong on caramel this time, little tropical fruit and little wood ripeness. Very nice and fine spice. Not too lush.A few drops of water do not hurt.For me one of the better FS, a good high-end sipper, but novel is something else.”

“This one has a heavy nose and palate compared to the 2004, which I consider more light and delicate. Very robust and in your face compared to both 2004 and 2005. The bourbon barrels are very obvious in this version and definitely something that bourbon fans will like.”

“Blindtaste Foursquare A. OB Isonomy, 17y, 2005, 58% B. OB 2007, 12y, 59% C. Kill Devil 2007, 14y, 63,4% Foursquare used to be my favourite distillery, but after a while I felt that most of the releases started to taste the same, too safe, and I lost much of my passion for the distillery. In front of me I had 3 glasses. I named them A, B and C. RUM B C: Dark gold. N: A muted version of RUM A. Foursquare coconut and column fumes. 20min. Still a bit muted. More of that coconut and petrol. M: Less vibrant, less sweet and more burnt than RUM A. Again peaches and coffee. F: Long and nice. My Guess: Isonomy RUM B: OB 2007 I was wrong B: Maybe”
