“19.12.2020 Nice tasting shortly before Christmas in a private area of the bar. Unfortunately this very old bar closed down in 2023. Notes Medium dark colour. Nose Fresh, wood, light roasted, nutmeg, orange, dried fruit. Palate Oily, wood, vegetal, spice, light orange, fresh. Finish Medium to long, wood, balanced, warm, citrus.”

“Ein junger Agricole mit ordentlich %%. Nase: vielschichtige Aromenfülle mit getrockneten Früchten, duftendem Holz und allerlei Gewürzen. Getrocknete Feige, getrocknete Aprikose und Rosine, dazu Stachelbeere, schwarze Johannisbeere und Brombeere. Etwas Orange ist auch dabei. Dann kommt da noch grünes Zeugs dazu, wie Kamille, Heu, aber auch in Essig eingelegte Artischocke. Durchaus interessant. 8,6 Gaumen: würzig-holzig und das in intensiv. Leicht salzig-bitter, aber nicht unangenehm. Mokka mit etwas Lakritze, Muskat und herbe Nuss. Hinten raus Bitterorange und Veilchen-Seife. Ganz schön intensiv für nur 3 Jahre. 8,2 PLV ist bei dem hier echt gut, die Seife hält sich im Hintergrund und an intensiven Aromen fehlt es nicht.”

“A very successful Excellence Rhum bottling. Despite its young age, Maison La Mauny has pronounced aromas. The nose is very fresh and vegetal, enhanced by spices and candied fruits that give it a certain roundness. Very powerful on the palate, this rum blends fruity citrus notes with pepper, nutmeg and tobacco. The cognac cask lends an alcoholic touch to the finished product, which continues to develop more mentholated aromas on the finish. The finish is long and very expressive, very warm and dry, with aromas of tobacco, spices and sugarcane. A tasty, fiery, multi-faceted rum.”
