Chairman’s Reserve Master’s Selection (Salon du Rhum) hails from Saint Lucia, crafted meticulously at the Saint Lucia Distillers. Distilled in 2011 using both pot and column stills from molasses, this 46% ABV rum matured for 8 years. Its aromatic spectrum spans caramel and dried fruits, with hints of marmalade and vanilla. The palate reveals dried fruit, vanilla, nutty notes, and young wood accents, delivering a well-rounded yet somewhat subdued experience. #4446 02.11.2023 Not too bad but a but light on the profile. Well rounded and naturally sweet. I like my Chairman's Reserve bold and in your face and this one is on the lighter side. Medium fruity and fresh. Palate is oily and has some licorice and nutts. The finish is medium long with some chocolate. The empty glass has a light smoky note and the chocolate is more obvious.
