Velier Savanna Indian Ocean Stills 2012
Fans enjoy the funky Savanna character, fruits and roasted wood; critics find the alcohol harsh, nose closed and profile unbalanced. Overall seen as a solid but unspectacular, demanding agricole.
Agricole and Savanna fans who enjoy high-ABV, slightly rough rums with solventy funk, black tea bitterness and roasted wood, and who like to let a glass sit and evolve.

This one is pretty good especially when looking at the price tag at release. Fruity and fresh as well as warm on the palate once rested for a good while. I love the roasted almost burned wood notes on the profile.
The Road Rummers Africa tasting Very soft nose. Only thing i'm getting is a bit of Calvados. In the mouth you get spices and black thea wich develop in red fruits mainly cherry. The finish is rather medicinal for me. Overal rather dissapointing rum, but not that bad. Nice for tasting not for buying.
This is rough. The nose is so closed. I really don't get it. Blind you would never guess savanna. Where is any fruit just acidity and wood. I am so amazed by the difference..even the relatively cheap prices don't justify this
