It was distilled in 1990 from Molasses and then aged for 27 years. The rum has an ABV of 45%. I have recently started buying Samaroli because I like what the whisky barrels do to their rums. This one is no exception as their eis a clearly defined whisky and malt note to it. Slightly dry and lightly bitter with vanilla. I'd say this one is for a serious rum drinker like me :-)
Nice sipper with dark fruits, vanilla & brown sugar. Hardly any wood influence. A bit thin and short finish.
Extremely impressive. Slightly shorter than the 25 you but more finesse.
