The "Demerara Rum" was produced in Guyana at the Demerara Distillers Ltd distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Samaroli. It was distilled in 1990 from Molasses and then aged for 27 years. The rum has an ABV of 45%. "I have recently started buying Samaroli because I like what the whisky barrels do to their rums. This one is no exception as their eis a clearly defined whisky and malt note to it. Slightly dry and lightly bitter with vanilla. I'd say this one is for a serious rum drinker like me :-) "
