10.02.2012 Nice little private tasting with a few friends in the back of this old bar. Notes Light in colour. Nose Fresh, wood, light roasted, banana, light caramel, light vegetal, light ester. Palate Fresh, wood, light roasted, pineapple, caramel, faint floral, light chocolate, light ester. Finish Medium to long, wood, fruits, light caramel.
Auto-translatedÜberraschend positiv für das junge Alter. Wuchtige Fruchtaromen, etwas junges Holz, dezente Gewürze und Süsse - primär bleiben aber die eindrücklichen tropischen Früchte. Und mit Release im Jahr 2008 schon fast ein Stück Rumhistorie…
Alkohol könnte besser eingebunden sein. Von einem 2000er Hampden habe ich mir etwas mehr erwartet. Neben fruchtigen, leicht muffige Noten.
Interessanter junger alter Hampden. Leider hintenraus etwas unausgewogen. 5% weniger Alk hätten hier gut getan, dann wäre die Cremigkeit deutlich besser durchgekommen.
