I would say it's a solid blender. Quite okay with cola for in between. Pure it was a bit too sweet for me. I think it contains dosage. Overall, it also seems a little thin and artificial.
This is a rum made in a 5 column still where it was triple destilled and then aged in American oak casks. This one is the flagship and also oldest rum in this range. A bit like a rum from Cuba not as heavy as many other South American rums. Does well as a sipper but also in a mixer.
My first “real” rum-experience (Barcardi white NOT counted in). The Cruzan opened my eyes for the fantastic world of rums - so very different from what I was used to - and I remembered it as being quite good..
