TRC Diamond (Port Mourant) Guyana MPM 2008
Most praise its classic, uncompromising Port Mourant power; critics find it too sharp, bitter and one-dimensional. Consensus: a solid but rough, very spirit-forward cask for PM fans only.
Fans of dry, dirty, high-strength Port Mourant who want an unadorned, educational Demerara experience and don’t mind bitterness or a strong alcohol presence.

How does this rum taste?
Raw Port Mourant for hardcore fans
If you already enjoy punchy Port Mourant and want to taste it nearly naked, this is worth a look; if you prefer smoother, sweeter rums, it will feel harsh and bitter.
Beginners, those sensitive to high ABV, or drinkers seeking sweetness, polish, or fruity complexity rather than a sharp, woody, spirit-driven profile.

Quite tangy on the nose but quite a board on the palate!
Classic Port Mourant in the nose. No oak. Just spirit. Dry, light and crisp. Strangely not much alcohol burn. Not unpleasant but also a bit underwelming. Good example of a very naked spirit.
