How does this rum taste?
The Guyana MPM is crafted at the Diamond (Port Mourant) distillery and embodies a robust and intricate profile. Distilled from molasses using a pot still in 2008, it was aged for 9 years and presents a high ABV of 62.2%. Users describe its aroma as citrusy with undertones of apple and a notable ester presence. The dominant taste profiles range from alcoholic and spicy notes to burnt sophistication, but opinions on its complexity vary. Some find it indicative of a true Port Mourant spirit, while others mention it lacks harmony, offering a pleasant experience for those who appreciate robust, raw flavors. It provides a rich finish, notable for its woody and chocolate-like characteristics. An intriguing selection for rum enthusiasts wanting a bold encounter.

Classic Port Mourant in the nose. No oak. Just spirit. Dry, light and crisp. Strangely not much alcohol burn. Not unpleasant but also a bit underwelming. Good example of a very naked spirit.
Quite tangy on the nose but quite a board on the palate!
