How does this rum taste?
RumX members love the unmistakable TDL 2003 mint‑and‑menthol profile, lifted by bright fruit and florals. Expect grapes and lychee on the nose, with herbs, prunes and a hint of dark chocolate on the palate. Many suggest letting it rest to tame the initial heat and open beautifully. This 16‑year, 55.4% Single Cask Nation bottling (309 bottles) is well regarded across 45 reviews and a rising community favorite.

RumX Advent Calendar Day 13 Typical T.D.L characteristics recognizable from the start. In my opinion, it needs quite a while in the glass before it develops from well to very good. At first I was a little disappointed, but time has fixed it. Delicious piece. Thanks again for another rum that is very fine.
Intense and complex on the nose. Plenty of fruits - I get white grapes and lychee - as well as hints of mint and herbs. Very nice! On the palate this is definitely on the lighter end of the range. Yet it is intense and tasty with mint, herbs and some fruits. Just not as dark and tea like compared to other bottlings. I like this one quite a bit.
Kleines TDL (Blind-) Crosstasting mit diversen Vintages: Abgeschlagen auf Platz 6: Dram Mor TDL 2007. Insgesamt flach und langweilig, eher spanischer Stil. Platz 5: FRC TDL 2002.
RumX-Adventskalender 13.12.2023 Blind tasting: Definitely T.D.L I'll narrow it down further: Vintage 2001, 2002 or 2003. And even more specific (no risk, no fun): RX15401  ==== All right, I was just a little off the mark. But that doesn't change the fact that this is a fine drop in my eyes.
