The "HLCF" was produced in Jamaica at the Hampden distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Murray McDavid. It was distilled in 1992 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 13 years. The rum has an ABV of 46% and the mark is HLCF. "13.03.2016 Nice relaxing day in the basement with nice food. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light, light wood, faint smoke, light ester, faint marzipan, light mint, medium ester. Palate Thin, light wood, roasted, citrus, light marzipan, medium ester, anise. Finish Short to medium, light wood, faint smoke, citrus, earthy, light anise."

"Etwas schwachbrüstig am Gaumen durch die Reduzierung auf 46%, aber eine tolle Nase, leichte Honig Noten gepaart mit Ananas. Auch nach wiederholtem Verkosten bleibe ich bei meiner Bewertung. Kann sich sehen lassen aber ein paar mehr Prozente hätten er vertragen können."
"Dieser tolle Hampden Geruch entströmt dem Glas. Zwar bremsen die nur 46% die Reichweite, aber die feinen Ester-Noten haben ihre Wirkung. Ananas und Mandarine dazu ein bisschen Marzipan und Honig. Ein wenig Essig steht harmonisch neben einer Frische, fast Richtung Menthol. Durch die Verdünnung kommt er am Gaumen leider sehr schwach rüber. Daher dominieren die feinen Ester und Anis. Limetten, Ananas und etwas Marzipan kommen dann auch durch. Das Hampden Profil ist schön, wie schön wäre es mit höherem abv? Trotzdem recht gut."
