I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 46,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.

10.02.2018 Having a great tasting at work with nice colleagues. Notes Light in colour. Nose Fresh, light wood, faint roasted, light olive, mint, pineapple, light anise, plum. Palate Balanced, light wood, faint smoke, light mint, light plum, pineapple, faint chocolate. Finish Medium long, light wood, faint licorice, dried fruit, light mint.
Fresh buttery and vegetal with lots of citrus. Very good PM
Très bon PM
Nose: spicy-fruity, dried and slightly sulfured apricot. But also a citrus freshness. Cherry and a muted sweetness as of honeycomb. There's also some nice floral and vanilla.Palate: intense and powerful. No more fruitiness and floral. Bitter salty woody. And something metallic. Iodine. The spiciness goes possibly in the direction of cardamom.Finish: woody bitter, some herbsI like the nose better than the taste, but overall it pleases.
