Reminds me a little of an Armagnac. Definitely a very tasty item at a more than fair price. Thanks Jarek for the sample. Edit: Tasted again, tastes good and a real bargain for the price.

#4499 25.11.2023 Looking at the price tag you get a lot for your money with this release. Medium fruity but very fresh and well balanced. The palate is oily and sweet with light floral notes. The finish is medium long with a minty and orange touch. Draws very nice curtains in the glass. The empty glass has some light chocolate and stronger mint notes.

Quite young, but the Neisson DNA already comes through clearly. Still a bit peppery, but I like it really well - especially for the price called.

This rum from Neisson in Martinique is a Eleve Sous Bois aged for two years. The nose is complex, dry, fresh, spicy, round, fruity, woody and a little sweet with scents of vanilla, pepper, citrus, orange, honey and mint. At the palate it’s fresh, spicy, woody and dry with flavors of sugarcane, cocoa, vanilla and orange. The finish is medium long and dry with flavors of pepper and vanilla. Overall a rum with a remarkable scent, being so young.

8,4:On the nose, the first impression we get is a bit dry sugarcane juice, with notes of bagasse, pepper and a sort of graininess, it soon opens up to fresh citrus and flowery notes, a bit perfumed.It then rounds out with rich, fatty oak and melted nuts. The woodiness is toasted and dry all the same, pairing with the sweetness of a honey and pepper. On aeration, the rum achieves a fine balance between a dry agricultural character and full-bodied nuts. The woodiness is the main actor, supported by peppery mint and red fruits. The sugarcane is round, mineral with some black tea and a buttery biscuits. 8,5:On the palate it is lively and spicy, minimally bitter, a bit dry.The sugarcane and wood are pairing, with some rest, the wood takes the torch with pinches of cocoa and nuts. Peanuts also, fatty but not roasted and nougat, there are yeast and tea, flowery, inevitable red fruits, balanced and round. 8,4:The finish is simple, less complex, dry, woody with nuts and pepper, the sugarcane is juicy, honeyed, mineral and minty, a bit flowery with geranium...

A fairly young rum with a very interesting aromatic profile. Notes of wood and vanilla are followed by fruit, a touch of fresh vegetal and floral notes, followed by pepper and butter. These aromas persist on the palate, with a dry, clean attack focused on spices and a hint of tobacco. The finish shows a perfect balance of the above-mentioned flavors. A fine example of a young rum with a beautiful aromatic palette.

Wow, a beautiful piece, I would not have thought. The nose is predominantly woody and peppery, definitely makes you want more. The palate is also woody and peppery, but there is also a slight sweetness in the form of vanilla and chocolate. Very tasty.

Ce rhum avec un court vieillissement dans un fût au profil chauffe spécifique à capté des qualités gustatives très intéressantes. Il a gardé les marqueurs des rhums agricoles notamment le côté poivré , agrumes et canne, et il s est enrichi d une rondeur dans le fût toasté (choco/vanille).il tient bien en bouche et laisse un goût agréable. Découvert dans un bar antillais parisien, je n ai pas mis longtemps à acheter une bouteille.

A superb rum. It's been said over and over again, but its ability to combine the qualities of a white with those of a veux is impressive.

Old label. The picture depicted is the newer label. Same abv + recipe I guess. Classic agricole in the nose. Somewhat buttery. Hay. Young wood. For it's age pretty fine. Taste: a light, candied nuts, honey sweetness. Nicely balances. White pepper. Some lemon. Dry. Bitter. This is a very well done young agricole. I recommended this one a lot to people starting with rum, to try a decent agricole. It's been a while since I tasted it but I still like it a lot.

very very exciting Agricole. somewhat alcoholic on the nose and also not perfectly integrated in taste but still very tasty and complex. Lemon, milk chocolate, mint, banana and wood on the nose. taste then dark chocolate, tobacco, leather, black pepper, orange peel and lemon zest, some banana peel and honey, as well as vanilla and leather. very nice!

Un excellent rhum agricole, un bon goût épicé / poivré avec de légère note d'agrumes. J'ai même senti un peu de chocolat dedans. L'alcool ressort un peu mais c'est ce qui fait aussi sa force. Le rapport qualité prix est très très bon.

Frischer Agricole. Die Nase ist vielversprechend fruchtig und frisch. Vom Geschmack her könnte es gefühlt was ganz besonderes werden, doch leider kommt der große Knall nicht. Schmeckt anfangs richtig gut und wird mir dann zu flach. Aber für knapp 50€ bekommt man schon etwas geboten.
