Pas mal puissant et epicé

The nose has loads of herbal notes. A general cut herb mix. There's also camomile, currants and an industrial oily note. Very intriguing. The palate is dry. A big hit of the herbs from the nose. There's an almost dockside industrialness to this. Earthy, medicinal and with more conventional caramel and vanilla notes. The finish pivots to olives and licorice with some tannins. Finally, it tastes like its proof. Overall, this is superb. It won't be for everybody but it is for me. It drinks so smoothly for the proof and the flavours keep me coming back for more.

Diesel & green bananas remind me of Caroni

My first Savanna, I was directly in love. But after I tasted the 2007 Rum Nation, this one falls back a bit. Very very tasty and good Savanna, a little more alcoholic and less complex. But has something of everything, fruit, wood, spices and floral notes. Even with increasing experience still a great part

Hits all the right flavours. More fruity in the nose than in the taste. Figs, dates. Spices: warm and winterly, vanilla and cinnamon. Chocolate, coffee and butterscotch. Caramel. Sort of like cognac/brandy in woodiness. Price quality ratio this is perfect. Drink slowly.

Not bad, I kind of like this rum more every time time I drink it. Several tastings in and still like it 😋 - Long since last time, but still good.

09.02.2024 Nordlichter treffen. Retasting and it lost a few point. Price to quality is still very good in my mind. ---------------------- This beautiful rum needs to rest. I found that after 15 plus minutes it started to release a lot of flavours as well as esters. You may need a few drops of water because of the gmhigh proof, but not a must. A beautiful nose that made you wonder if the palate would falter, but it didn't, it maintained the high quality. A very young rum that hits all the right marks. Price to quality is very good.

Toller Rum extrem rund mit gut eingebundem Alkohol. Nase vor allem Floral mit Kräutern, etwas Zitusfrucht. Im Mund dann zuerst getrocknete Früchte, Karamell welche von einer medizinisch kräuerigen Note abgelöst werden. Der Abgang bleibt würzig. Wirklich extrem stimmig mit Top PLV

The nose is intense and highly evolved. Woody, vanilla, peppery and licorice. Then it heads for the Pyrenees with a very herbaceous profile. Finally, esters join the party (acetone, chewing gum, etc.). On the palate, the attack is rather frank and aggressive. The herbaceous profile is more pronounced (chamomile, aniseed, etc.), even medicinal. Softer elements (vanilla - apple - grapes) soften the initial attack. The finish is dry and spicy, with a slight tannic bitterness. A single cask with a nice fruitiness (sour cherries).

strong PLV Savanna! hubba bubba cherry/strawberry and ice candy with peach iced tea... just the way you like Savanna and at a really good price! but also quite barrel-heavy...

Am Anfang leicht süss, trocken im Abgang. Stärke OK.

Stark kräuterlastiger Traditionel, der viel Standzeit benötigt und sich dann langsam öffnet. Die Kräuter dominieren aber auch dann weiterhin. Alkohol könnte etwas besser eingebunden sein, aber auch das wird mit längerer Standzeit besser. Preis in Ordnung, aber mir vom Profil her zu langweilig.

Rumy z destilerie Savanna jsou jedny z mych nejoblibenejsich. Doporucuji kazdemu vyzkouset zejmena vuce esterove kousky jako je Grand arome nebo HERR. Tolik ovoce v nekolika malo kapkach tekutiny jste dlouho necitili.

Ausgeprägte Röstaromen und ein starker Einfluss des Fasses sind spürbar. Daneben schöne Fruchtigkeit mit getrockneten Pflaumen und Sauerkirschen. Für meinen Geschmack ist der Alkohol aber nicht gut eingebunden - mit etwas Wasser besser. Savanna-typische Noten sind auch da aber nicht sehr präsent.
