How does this rum taste?
- Woody and complex aroma
- Suitable for cocktails
- Distinct smoky profile
The Trois Rivières "Double Wood" rum emerges from Martinique with a distinguished profile, distilled from sugar cane juice using a column still, and bottled at 43% ABV. Its aroma presents a strong, woody essence complemented by oak and agricole notes, followed by hints of smokiness. On the palate, it offers a woody, whisky-like flavor with spicy and smoky undertones that conclude in a dry finish. While praised for its distinct character suitable for cocktails, some users note that it leans too heavily towards whisky flavors, overshadowing typical agricultural rum notes.

"An excellent spirit, but not necessarily a good rum. Even though the product is very well balanced, it loses its agricultural notes. It borders on AOC in my opinion. However (and that's the point), it offers a real cocktail option, even for long drinks."
"The aroma is first woody, then the Agricole smell comes to the fore. This is joined by some smoke and whiskey. Smoke and whiskey are also present in the taste, wood and later some Agricole flavor. The finish is relatively long and dry. Again, a good rhum from Trois Rivieres...."
