How does this rum taste?
The Our Rum & Spirits 2003 Guyana is a limited-edition rum, distilled from molasses at Diamond Distillery and aged 13 years. Crafted using a column still, it delivers 63.7% ABV with notes of wood, caramel, and a hint of vanilla. Users appreciate its robust flavors marked by deep wood and dried fruits. Opinions vary on alcohol integration, with some finding it smooth, while others experience a stronger alcoholic presence. Despite being well-received for its complex nose and diverse palate, users regard this vintage expression as solid but lacking intricacy.

A nice Rum, surprising me. Unfortunately it is not clear what Mark was used, it is noted as column still, but the result is quite intense with flavours and smooth at the same time. There may be a bit added sugar, but I am not sure. Quite balanced (at least to me), but I also gave this a long time to breathe. Very fruity and not much bitterness.
Heavy sweetness meets roasted nuts, smoke and bitter wood notes and fresh citrus notes. I like it a lot and it proved to be a top PLV at the issue price.
