How does this rum taste?
The "Trinidad" was produced in Trinidad at the T.D.L distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Compagnie des Indes. It was distilled in 2003 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 15 years. The rum has an ABV of 44%. This is a limited release and there are only 366 bottles. Nose: fruit dominates, but also vanilla and wood.Palate: incredibly intense fruit aromas at the start, including peach, pear, melon. Then the spice mixes in. Wood, but also subtle notes of rubber. Finish: Even in the finish still fruity.Conclusion: Super interplay of fruit and spice. Definitely something quite different, although not super complex. Buy recommendation!
