Palate Light oily, warm, medium intense, natually sweet, spice, medium dry, light tannins, sugarcane, citrus. Finish Medium long, dry, naturally sweet, light tannins, sugarcane, light melon. Empty glas Light caramel, banana, light melon, raisin, light anise.
A Karukera that looks quite young on paper, but already has a lot to offer, especially on the nose. Woody, toasty, fruity (citrus, dried fruit, coconut), spicy, greedy on cocoa and mocha before being overtaken by unexpected floral notes, this Karukera has a seductive, balanced profile. The rum is equally pleasant on the palate. There's a fruity structure, bordered by spices, with a hint of cocoa, woody notes of lightly toasted toast and an earthy touch that dries out the palate. Gentle yet expressive, with a masterful overall impression. The finish is warm and spicy, with almost empyreumatic notes of walnut and roasting. An effective, well-crafted rum, perhaps a little pricey but well-fleshed out for only 3 years' ageing.
Je le trouve un peu trop alcoolique à mon goût aussi non c'est un non c'est un bon petit rhum.
