Quite sweet, with present spice, green and floral notes and some roasted wood influence on the palate. Relaxed sipper.
A sharp-edged, chocolaty and slightly cherry aroma greets you. The taste is then similar, but heavily watered down and slightly caramelized. A short but pleasant finish. A sipper for beginners.
Unfortunately not my cup of tea. You can taste the typical New Grove characteristics well. But the finish is too extremely floral and perfumed for me, which I don't like.
12/03/25: tasted @ open bottle sale TasTToe. I had never heard of a Merisier finish so I was kind of curious. Apparently it's wild cherry wood. I didn't like it at all. Short finish, probably due to the low ABV.
