How does this rum taste?
RumX members love its bourbon-style profile: vanilla, caramel and coconut on the nose with woody spice and bourbon notes on the palate. At 55.6% cask strength, it brings good intensity and surprising complexity for a young 3-year rum. Enjoyed neat, with some adding a splash of water. A popular, limited release (1,200 bottles) well regarded by 84 reviews—solid choice for bourbon-leaning rum.

Not bad at all for such a young rum, it’s good, with intensity in the mouth and a start of complexity. Looking forward to tasting a more mature version…
Unfassbar langweiliger Rum. Mehr als etwas Süße und Karamell gibt die Spirituose nicht her. Blind kann man hier auch auf einen belanglosen Bourbon tippen. Alkohol ist gut eingebunden, anders gesagt der Rum ist total weichgespült.
Impressively broad flavor palette for its age. The aroma is unfortunately a bit fleeting, it is after all a young savage, just as quickly gone as it came, it disappears from the palate. But the toffee and vanilla notes are impressive for the short storage time.
Then finally a privateer. This is more in the sweeter corner. Caramel and vanilla stand out on the nose and palate. The palate is quite alcoholic, however, and the alcohol could be better integrated.
