How does this rum taste?
Vanilla and caramel lead the Kaniché Double Wood XO, with coconut and tropical fruit adding a sweet, approachable charm. RumX tasters praise its gentle cognac influence, soft mouthfeel, and easy-drinking nature—though some wish for greater depth and lower sweetness. Well-suited for those seeking a milder, dessert-style rum at fair value. Worth exploring if you enjoy sweet, mellow sippers.

This is not your typical Barbadian rum because some of the flavours you usually associate with Barbados are missing. A wonderful rum none the less especially if you look at the price. The bottle comes in a nice wooden box with a sliding front which is pretty fancy for a rum in this price range. The nose is sweet and oaky transferring into a soft well rounded palate that has a bit of cognac to it. Price to quality is very good.
From the 24daysofrum box. What is this? Diluted Four Square? Nose: very much like that. Taste: weirdly diluted but also alcoholic at the same time. Wodka-y. Some typical flavours but also very synthetic. Not sure of this is FS though, its hard to fuck up their juice as much as this. Not a fan. Nb: ah its Maison Ferrand. Makes sense. So its hardly Barbados rum.
Unbedingt atmen lassen, dafür gibt es tolle, natürliche Aromen.
I smell something interesting in the rum, but I can't identify what it is. I don't think I could tell it's from Barbados in a blind tasting. It tastes awfully sweet. Not my cup of tea at all and I hope I don't get my hands on this again😃
