I don't get to taste rum until the end of my vacation in Sweden. Let's see how a Long Pond tastes in these wooded and lake-rich surroundings. Nose: the first things that come to mind are banana, lemon and passion fruit. Then sweetish, like sugar syrup or honey dissolved in water. Esters and vinegar only come second. Overall only restrained, because diluted. 7,4 Palate: already more present here, spicy and bacony alongside beautiful ester notes. Caraway and clove add tartness, banana and lemon fruit. A little metallic on the back. Overall more on the tart side. 7,8
01.02.2020 Relaxing at home with some samples I got from a friend. Notes. Light in colour. Nose: Fresh, light, fruity, banana, ester, light floral notes, light wood. Palate: Light, light wood and smoke, banana, overripe, light chocolate, citrus, ester. Finish: Medium long, wood, fruits, light chocolate, citrus.
My first experience with Silver Seal back in 2020 I think. My initial findings are a subtle nose of fruits and molasses, and I'm getting notes of molasses and some Jamaican funk. Maybe a re-tasting could improve my rating
Just weak LP taste
