It was distilled in 2000 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 16 years. The rum has an ABV of 51%. This is a limited release and there are only 192 bottles.

“Erst zum Ende des Schweden-Urlaubs komme ich zum Rum-Tasting. Mal sehen, wie mir in dieser waldigen und seenreichen Umgebung ein Long Pond mundet. Nase: als erstes kommen mir Banane, Zitrone und Passionsfrucht in den Sinn. Dahinter süßlich, Richtung Zuckersirup oder in Wasser aufgelösten Honig. Ester und Essig erst in zweiter Reihe. Insgesamt nur verhalten, weil verdünnt. 7,4 Gaumen: hier schon präsenter, würzig-speckig neben schönen Ester-Noten. Kümmel und Nelke geben Herbe, Banane und Zitrone Frucht. Hinten etwas metallisch. Insgesamt eher auf der herben Seite. 7,8”
