Out of the box , full of surprises !
Very nice reference for its very small price (36€/50cl), frankly great. Recommended by the Gargantua cellar in Paris I am pleasantly surprised by this Colombian rum which does not pay mine but which is super well made. Hats off! 💙🇨🇴
Even if it is "just" 0.5l...35euros for a bottle is cheap. And it's also 12y. Unsugared Nose: a not unpleasant coffee-ish sweetness. Dark sugar. Toffee. Wood. Pretty "Spanish" in profile but also honest. Taste: bitterness. Dark sugar. Hint of menthol. Cocao powder. A tad on the sweet side but not too much. Quite hot. So.. price quality a pretty good deal. An enjoyable Spaniard with more depth than most of the rums within this particular style.
Au nez du sucre brun, de la poire et un alcool bien présent. La bouche est relativement vive, sans que ce soit dérangeant. Toujours ce caramel accompagné cette fois de fruits exotique, d un beau boisé et une sorte de côté fumé. La finale est moyenne. Un bon rapport qualité prix.
