How does this rum taste?
- Sehr solide
- Integration of the ABV
- Lecker aber erinnert mehr an bourbon
Privateer’s 2017 Villa Paradisetto bottling stirs up plenty of bourbon-leaning vanilla, caramel and toffee, with baking spices and a hint of burnt sugar weaving through both aroma and palate. RumX members note its round body—'so round, fruity, sweet, caramel...' (Pavel Spacek)—and pleasantly integrated alcohol. Several highlight the barrel’s contribution: 'sweet one with some impact of the barrel and roasted nuts' (Galli33). Some tasters even find a hidden apple note peeking through amidst the wood, spice, and honey.

"A very nice release and they did really well when it comes to integration of the ABV. I'd say it comes of as a mild rum with nice fruity flavours complemented by spice, wood and lovely toffee."
"Very delicious rum. It‘s a sweet one with some impact of the barrel and roasted nuts. The alcohol is integrated very well."
"Sample taken from the Kursch stand at the Pueblo del Ron in Nuremberg. Nice bourbon sticky nose with caramel. No further surprises on the palate, but everything is very solid. If you like bourbon, you'll like this too."
"Wow! So round, fruity, sweet, caramel..."
