It was distilled in 1998 from Molasses and then aged for 17 years. The rum has an ABV of 63,1% and the mark is HTR. 09.11.2019 Had a nice evening with friends and bottles wrapped in tinfoil ☺️ Notes. Dark in colour. Nose: wood, roasted, light rubber, tar, caramel, cherry. Palate: oily, wood, roasted, leather, light rubber, tar, orange. Finish: long, warm, wood, light smoke, orange, light tar and rubber.
Ganz schön alkoholisch, aber geschmacklich gut.
Solider Vertreter des 1998er Caroni Jahrgangs. Der Alkohol ist etwas zu präsent; die Aromen vom HTR-Profil kommen durch, daneben dominiert eine satte Karamellsüsse. Angenehm zu trinken, aber im Direktvergleich der 1998er Caronis aus kontinentaler Reifung nicht in der Spitzenklasse.
