By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
A spiced that lives up to its name. The woody background is pleasant. Ditto for the zesty spices. But the cinnamon is far too present. Far too present. It leaves no room. Pity.
I tried it today at the distillery at Chamarel after a short tour. The distillery has a seasonal break now and will resume operation during the sugar cane harvest around August. The sugar cane is grown by the distillery, they use both green and red types. Distillery owns a column and a pot still. This one was infused with several spices. More character then the vanilla one.
Leicht süßlich, würzig. Alkohol nicht optimal eingebunden. Recht künstlich
Not as sweet as other spiced rums
