“On the nose come exciting notes towards green apple, herbaceous freshness, dried fruit, milk chocolate and caramel, but also a fair amount of solvent. On the palate, however, the Depaz comes across quite gruff, alcoholic spiciness, lots of (young) barrel, apple, salty finish. The nose convinces, on the palate, unfortunately, he can not keep up.”

“Second tasting: I like very much, today I find in the aftertaste even Calvados! ( 2)Nose: the first thing I notice is that the alcohol is very restrained, nothing bites and stings the nose. And then there is a striking similarity with sweet wine (Trockenbeerenauslese)Palate: nothing more of sweet wine but strong alcohol and much barrel influence and floral notes. Slight resemblance to cognac.Finish: cool, the impression of sweet wine comes back again! Very good rum, a bottle I would not buy. For me it is too woody and too expensive, but I'm glad I have a sample.”
