“Delicious specimen, with lots of caramel/honey and an ingenious roasted note of coffee and chocolate. Once you've identified the marzipan note, it runs right through! Also fruity in many ways (lychee/mango?), subtly sweet and very round. Goes down like oil 😋 For even more points, this rum would need more complexity, although I have to say that there are still some components that I can't quite put my finger on. You have to give this rum a few minutes to breathe. Compared to other Cihuatans, it stands out somewhat.”

“More unusual than the others from cihuatan. Dark chocolate, sour cherry, lychee, mocha, coffee and roasted almonds. Definitely one of the best & most unusual rums from Cihuatan. Very tasty and elegant and an incredibly beautiful bottle.”

“The rum has a very pleasant and complex nose. In addition to lots of almond, toffee and buttery tones, there is also an interesting floral note. In the mouth, there is a lovely sweetness reminiscent of honey. The floral tones as well as the almond notes are a perfect match. The rather spicy 47.5% provides warmth and emphasizes the elegant oak aroma. Light caramel is in the background and complements the complexity of the many impressions. The not too long finish is just as complex and ends with floral and marzipan-like tones. A delicious and unique rum from El Salvador. The bottle and outer packaging are also strikingly beautiful in my opinion. Top class.”
