How does this rum taste?
The Trinidad Rum, distilled at Trinidad's Ten Cane distillery in 2008, is a highly sought-after limited release with only 363 bottles available. This 11-year-aged rum showcases a complex profile, distilled from sugar cane juice using a pot still, and carries an ABV of 43%. Described by users as significantly aromatic with notes of caramel, floral, and fruit elements such as orange peel and pineapple, the palate reveals dried fruit, rich dark chocolate, and a bitter complexity. Enthusiasts appreciate its floral bouquet and intricate layers, although some find the alcohol integration slightly lacking. This rum captivates with its uniqueness and floral intensity, appealing to those intrigued by unconventional flavors.

Exciting bottling from the closed Ten Cane distillery. On the nose quite a lot of floral notes (roses) and pineapple. Apricot also comes through after some time breathing. On the palate, the reduction does not tread too thinly. Also floral and fruity again. Nice complexity. Conclusion: it does not always have to be "Caroni". 😃🥃
Good spirit, but too bitter for me personally.
This distillery set up by French people from LVMH in 2005 has unfortunately closed but this pure juice distilled in Charentais still brings very interesting empire notes with still a lot of floral freshness of the pure juice.
This is my first ten cane. Very fruity(various dried fruits, pineapple) and spicy in the nose. In mouth this complex rum give you some delicious various notes of fruits, dark chocolate, leather, licorice, espresso, barrel, caramel, roasted almonds, a bit like a good brandy. This needs some time to fully open. The alcohol isn‘t integrated well. Wondering what‘s the outcoming would be if it’s barrel prouf🤔
