How does this rum taste?
The S.B.S Trinidad is a limited edition rum crafted at the T.D.L distillery in Trinidad and bottled by 1423 World Class Spirits. Distilled from molasses using a column still, it offers a rich mix of caramel, nutty, and raisin aromas with hints of cinnamon and chocolate. This weekend was very busy because I've been building a new shelf system for my 250+ bottles so my Saturday and Sunday tastings haven't been added :-) This is not the regular Trinidad style rum and I can only recommend that you try it out because this is a well hidden gem for most.
Fazit: Angenehm an Nase und Gaumen, mit typischen Aromen eines Trinidad Rums, lässt Federn, weil er nicht so komplex ist und noch intensiver schmecken könnte.
Nez plutôt fermé sur le goudron, le camphre, puis après ouverture, la gourmandise tdl est bien présente. La bouche s'ouvre sur le caramel, les agrumes, la cannelle. Ensuite le fût de madère se montre discret mais présent tout de même accompagné de belles notes de noisette. Finale longue sur le vin de madère (épices/raisin).
