“Classic Caroni profile, the 98er type is also quite recognizable: quite dry, tar, coffee, smoke, wood...unfortunately, the alcohol is also quite dominant here. Overall, a pity, because the alcohol note remains present throughout and the rest of the profile can not keep up with the first Old Music 1998er.”

“This is not your regular Caroni in my mind, this one is slightly different. The nose is alcoholic with tar and plastic, trailed by brown sugar, berries and a hint of flower. The palate is also alcoholic and oily with tar, metal, wood and spices trailed by berries. The finish is long and warm with tar and spices. This one needs to rest and also a few drops of water before it really settles down from the high ABV. Price to quality is not that good.”
