How does this rum taste?
This Martinique VSOP from Dillon lines up vanilla, barrel, and spice on the nose, moving to more vanilla, wood, coconut, and a subtle smoky touch on the palate. Community tasters find it approachable—@Timo Groeger highlights a "würzige Nase, Vanille sticht heraus," and TheJackDrop says "je n’en attendais pas grand chose mais honnêtement c’est vraiment sympa." A few mention dried fruit and prunes, but overall it's the interplay of wood and gentle sweetness that stands out. Some compare it to other agricoles, noting its light floral character and integrated alcohol.

The 5yo Dillon VSOP Reserve du Comte Arthur Dillon have been replaced by a bottle named just VSOP in their new range. It’s maybe the same Rhum, but it’s not confirmed. The one tasted by me is the old one.
